Vintage Oval Hinged Brass Box with Pewter Seashells

Unique vintage oval-shaped hinged brass box with pewter seashell adornment on the top lid. I have never seen a brass box like this before and I'm so impressed with the craftsmanship of the pewter seashells. Everything about this box screams handmade. It measures 3 1/4" high by 5 1/2" long by 4 1/4" wide. There is a sticker on the underside that reads, "Made in India". Good vintage condition with notable tarnish and patina. The lid opens and closes without difficulty. I don't usually list a brass item with this much tarnish, but it's such a cool box that I really couldn't help it!
