Vintage Mid-Century Hand-Painted Ceramic Lamp with Brass Base and Original Shade, 38" Tall
Unique 1950s Mid-Century hand-painted ceramic lamp. Textured cream-colored ceramic with a brass base. Hand-painted gold and green leaf design. The oversized dropped drum shade is original to the lamp. Fantastic MCM look!
This is a large lamp measuring 37 1/2" high to the top of the shade and 28 1/2" high to the top of the finial. The widest part of the lamp measures 9" across. The brass base measures 7" wide. The shade measures 15" wide by 15" deep.
The lamp is in very good vintage condition. Works perfectly with no electrical issues. It was professionally rewired years ago. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing to the ceramic. The brass base is a bit tarnished but no damage or pitting. The felt on the underside of the lamp has come loose but can be replaced or reglued. The shade is also in great condition with a few small indents; no tears or stains. The original finial is missing and has been replaced with a generic finial. With the dropped drum shade, the finial is not visible so it does not detract from the overall look. Please see provided photos for full details.
